Organic Art found here is inspired by the forms, textures, colors, and complexity of nature. Most of the ceramic pieces seen here are fired following the method of Raku. The art of Raku evolved in Japan and Korea 500 years ago, to create special pieces used during Zen tea ceremonies.

The process of Raku is very dynamic, and requires the artist to directly pull pieces glowing at more than 1600 deg F, and participate in cooling process. Raku and pit fired processes are unpredictable and involving. They bring ceramics alive.

All items are made by hand.  No molds or forms are used. Each piece is unique.
